This one's for anyone who's ever done tech support

My buddy Billy found this link and I laughed *hard* when I watched it. Y'all enjoy!

Here's a fun game

Okay the challenge is to write a caption for this picture:

Here are a few examples to start with...

My Shelly's was: "...and this is an exact replica of my penis, at 1000:1 scale."

Mine was: "This is the new one-application yeast infection cure for those really
serious infections..."

And Mel's was: "Yes Senator, I am aware that devices for the purpose of sexual gratification are illegal. But, as you and the other members of the committee can clearly see, this is merely a flesh colored rocketship which vibrates on several different speed settings to simulate takeoff."

So far Mel wins hands down. Feel free to utilize the comments section with your own captions, I'm curious to see what y'all will come up with! :)

Metro Section - The Bitchy Girls

The final birthday event was yesterday afternoon: the maiden voyage of the Bitchy Girl Club. Let me quickly give you some back story here...

I have this friend named Kylee and we have called each other "Bitchy Girl" from pretty much the day we met each other. For 6 years now she's been my Bitchy Girl and I've been hers. She ended up getting the extreme pleasure of being my wedding coordinator last year and finally got to meet and start interacting with my other female friends. During the wedding prep, we decided that Jules and my Shelly were Bitchy Girls too which started to make us a little group. Back in February around Bitchy's birthday we got to geeking about how the "Red Hats" are a club and we should really go ahead and form a Bitchy Girl club. Since we're not really hat people, we opted for tiaras and boas as our signature look but the event never got off the ground. Bitchy rocked my world by putting together the first Bitchy gathering for my …

Metro Section - More Bars in Arlington and RHPS in FW

As I sit here typing I realize that I'm no longer as young as I used to be and that partying for several days in a row actually takes its toll on my bod. I've got muscle aches, dehydration (read hangover), a raspy voice from smoking too much and I'm's been a GREAT birthday so far!!! :)

Last night we ventured back to the 817 (I'm wildly out of control with the traveling this year, LOL) to continue the birthday celebrating. We started at Division One to see our buddy Ty spin gothic/industrial...

Here's a pic of Ty and our friend Jenna

It was warm in the club because it's been so hot lately and the upstairs bartender was running late which was a drag. The music was fantastic though and we enjoyed getting to see Ty do his thing. Some people we're trying to avoid showed up around 10 and so we took our leave and headed down the street to Caves since we all had valid id this time.

At Caves we ran into B's old poetry buddy Paul and we hung out wi…

Metro Section - Pub Crawl Report

Although the drinking got underway Thursday night at the club, the serious birthday celebration didn't kick off until last night's pub crawl. My lip has healed enough to be successfully (although painfully) covered by lipstick so I brought my camera only to find that the batteries hadn't been charged. We got a couple of pix at the beginning of the night and then the batteries died for good. It's probably all for the best that there aren't blackmail pix of the events of the evening... :)

Pub #1:

J Gilligan's
400 E Abram St

Technically this was not an official pub crawl stop since it was the meeting place and it's also located on Abrams, but it's where things kicked off. We feasted on Irish nachos (the best cheese fries on the planet) and burgers while the group amassed itself. I was very excited that some of the Dallas group actually trekked to the 817 for me! And the big surprise of the evening was that Brian made it back into town in time to join us!! We …

Travel Report - The 817

I crossed the invisible line into Tarrant County last night for the first of my weekly appointments with my new doc. I'm very excited to be working on myself again and look forward to my new journey. :)

Jules made it home from Michigan without incident and it was wonderful to see her. Damn, she was only gone for a few days but I sure did miss her!

I didn't see my house until after 11 pm, wow Tuesdays have gotten kinda busy...

Which Eddie Izzard Quote Are You?
brought to you by Quizilla

Long time no blog

As I look over my last few weeks' posts, I see that I've only posted emails and quizzes. I've had lots o stuff going on. The last few weeks have brought about some changes in the list of people that I can call "friend". I'm still reeling from the emotional upheaval that comes along with betrayal and grief. B and I have had some challenges but I think we're well on the way to recovery with that. I've had work changes and a nightmarish month end but it seems to hopefully be trying to level out there. Here's hoping that life is trying to actually settle down into a rhythm again!

During all this we did manage to sneak away for a long weekend to Missouri to visit my dad and attend my family reunion for the 4th. We had a lot of fun and I got to be the grill mistress for my *whole* family. It was great getting to show off my new found cooking skills!

As of the 1st we are officially insured again which means that we'll be able to resume our dental stuff…

How American am I?

We're back from a weekend in Missouri with my dad and we had a blast! Here's a little webthing for everyone this morning...

You Are 40% AmericanAmerica: You don't love it or want to leave it.
But you wouldn't mind giving it an extreme make over.
On the 4th of July, you'll fly a freak flag instead...
And give Uncle Sam a sucker punch!
How American Are You?

Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!

We're going to be really busy this weekend so I probably won't have time to post again until after the 4th. Hope everyone has a fantastic holiday and gets to blow stuff up...or at least see things getting blown up! Happy 4th of July!!!
