Everyone Please Say Prayers and Send Happy Healing Thoughts...

Good morning, everyone. Some of you know that my buddy Billy's girl is stationed in Iraq and fighting the good fight over there. She's with a team of female bomb techs that our little group of friends has all basically adopted as our own. I got an email this morning saying their camp got attacked overnight and two of the group: Nancy and Jaime got hit. Both injuries were serious and the two girls were airlifted out in critical condition. Y'all please send prayers, healing energy, and whatever else you can think of for their speedy recovery and the safety of the rest of the unit. I'll keep you posted as I know more...

More News From the World of Jen

It seems like everyone I know has had this sinus crud that's been going around and we're no exception. I've been sick off and on for over a month now, and B and I have been passing it back and forth between us. I finally made it to the doctor Monday so maybe there's an end in sight. Jebus Cryst, prescriptions are expensive when you don't have insurance!! Ack! I think the cold medicine companies should be starting to send us royalty checks sometime soon for the amount of money we've spent on that stuff over the last month too. Gods, are you listening? We'd like to be done being sick now. ;-)

I've been working my ass off over the last few weeks and today will be my 17th work day in a row. I'm thinking this could be contributing to my lack of physical wellness (duh, ya think?) but there's really not a lot I can do about it. This time of year it's not possible to show more than a couple of houses in the evenings after people get off work because …

Old Trees Building Will Not Reopen.... :-(

I'm reposting this from Zaber's myspace bulletin...this makes me sad. :-(

This is taken directly from their site.

To whom this may concern, we have successfully filed our SUP for 2707-09 Elm Street, Deep Ellum. I personally spent over 2 days and over $1,300 filing for the SUP. Our SUP was accepted, and now we have to wait for the Dallas City Council to vote on it. That will take about 3 months; meanwhile we are paying rent on a building we cannot use.

Of course, after we have spent the money with the city filing the SUP we are now told we need an SUP for the PARKING LOT.

David Cossum told us that under the new SUP law, we had to have 50+ parking spaces. We only have 20. So we contracted with an independent parking lot owner to supply us 30 more spaces. We had planned on paying for the additional expense by charging to park in Deep Ellum, like e…

Virus Alert! :-(

I got this in my inbox today from Brian and thought it was worth posting about...y'all be careful out there!

Hey everybody,

I know you all know to be careful opening attachments from people you don't know - but I wanted to put the word out to be extra extra cautious when it comes to Word documents. There are currently 4 unpatched Word vulnerabilities that are being exploited right now. That means that Microsoft has not released a patch for them, and hackers are taking advantage of this fact.

So be sure to DELETE any messages that contain a Word attachment if you don't know the sender - and even if you do, be extra cautious and only open the attachment if you're expecting it.

Hopefully Microsoft will be patching these vulnerabilities on 2/13.

Please be sure to let your friends and family know too.…

My Stripper Song Is...

Teehee, I used to dance to this one so good quiz! :)

Your Stripper Song Is
Closer by Nine Inch Nails

"You let me violate you, you let me desecrate you
You let me penetrate you, you let me complicate you
Help me I broke apart my insides, help me I've got no
Soul to tell"

When you dance, it's a little scary - and a lot sexy. What Song Should You Strip To?

It's Sunday - Time for an Update.

Teehee, I'm not sure I'm qualified to write anything today because of the level of hangover that I can feel creeping in on me. I've already added alcohol to my coffee and will chase that with a large glass of gatorade to see if I can't jump start myself...I'm actually scheduled to show some homes this afternoon and have to get my shit together before then. Doh! :)

Why am I hung over, you may ask? We actually had 3 friends celebrating their birthdays this weekend and all three of them were turning 30. Of the events we got invited to last night, we only made it out to one of them and that was Monkey Puppet's party at Devlynn's house in Denton. It was a small gathering (as Devlynn's house parties usually are because no one wants to drive to Denton and then have to drive back to town in the middle of the night) but it was a lot of fun and oh boy, did I ever get my drink on! I hope I didn't embarass B...I'll definitely be asking the question once he r…

If You Like Sid and Marty Croft... :)

Here's a little wierd thing from Billy that I couldn't resist posting. If you ever watched a Sid and Marty Croft show as a kid, you'll definitely appreciate it. Check it out:

Where in the World is Jen?

Sorry about the intermittent posting, I need to get back to cleaning out my inbox and at least post jokes and wierd shit in between these update posts. It's just hard for me since I work on the computer, to want to sit here any longer than I have to. Mostly I end up doing this on my Sundays off. Okay nuff of that, let's get on with the update post now...

I took the leap of faith and upgraded my blogger to the new version. I already don't like it because it won't leave me logged in anymore. :-( Does anyone have a work around for this issue? Other than that, it seems pretty much like the old version because I never ever use all the bells and whistles. Teehee, just the facts, ma'am...

There's been a significant change in our Thursday club night routine in the last few weeks. When they fired my favorite dj at The Crotch, they decided to completely change the Thursday night format to 80s and 90s pop videos that no one wants to dance to. We have our PVR set up to recor…

New Year's Eve - The Recap!

The NYE party at Billy's was a huge success again this year. Because I'm mostly out of the loop with the planning stages of events lately, there was some confusion about the guest list...but it turned out just fine and a good time was had by all!

As gatherings at Billy's go, this one was fairly tame with no spontaneous nudity involved. There were some spankings in the atrium that were extremely fun to watch and the partying was full on. It was after 4 am when I finally got to bed. :)

This time it was my turn to keep my wits about me and be the cleanup crew through the duration of the party. Poor B's been stuck with the task for the last few events and he was ready to relax and enjoy the gathering. He even invited his own guests to this one which is a pretty forward move on his part. ;-)

Billy started the smoker the night before and ran it all night long with chicken, beef and pork cooked with his own rub blend. He also made a vat of homemade bbq sauce to go along with it.…
